GARY
HAS BEEN a
career banker and trust company
executive officer since his
graduation
from Trent University in 1968. In 1970, at the age of 23, Gary
was the youngest bank manager ever appointed in the history of the
Bank of Montreal.
FOLLOWING
APPOINTMENTS to increasingly senior branches in the
bank's system, Gary was appointed a District Managers position in
Alberta in 1980 where he supervised 30 branches and a staff of 700+.
He left the Bank of Montreal twice during his career to assume VP
positions in the Trust industry. At the Fidelity Trust Company,
Gary reported directly to the Chairman and major shareholder, Peter
Pocklington.
DURING
HIS CAREER Gary also taught business finance and
credit at Durham College in Oshawa and Centennial College in Toronto.
He holds an MTCI designation from the Trust Companies Institute
and an AICB designation from the Institute of Canadian Bankers.
Gary joined Kathy at Mortgage Plus in 1993 following a period in
which he was Vice President for the Municipal Trust Company.
GARY
IS ALSO a founding member of the Independent Mortgage
Brokers Association. He has two sons and one grandchild and enjoys his weekends camping in his motor home. He is an active member of his church, sings bass in the choir, and is a member of the board of managers. Gary is also an active member of the Tri-City Men's Gospel (Barbershop) Chorus.
